Recent Review:DO NOT LIVE in any Arnel Property. Research the past/current legal battles between residences in their apartments and housing developments against the management. They will not let you break your lease unless you're in the military, even if you don't feel safe or have a new job in another state. If you do and you leave in the proper manner by providing a written statement thirty days before, within the guidelines of the state law, provide the correct amount of rent upon the end of your 30 days....BE CAREFUL OF WHAT YOU DO! For us, we began moving our items out a week early to clean the apartment before we actually left, they decided to bust in our apartment before our 30 day was up and supposedly "threw away" our remaining items including our lease agreement papers that were on the counter, our actual keys (we made copies of the original and kept the original inside the home at all times) assuming that we just left and said there was nothing they could do because they assumed we just left.Upon fury, the local police department didn't want anything to do with it, lawyers didn't want to help because we only had 5K stolen from us. Along with that, they attacked our credit right away saying we owed them money for the rest of our lease agreement. 2 years later, we still have to figure out what to do. Arnel Management "didn't believe" anyting we told them and stood by their no lease break policy. However, when we first signed up, the agent did tell us there was one.We left mainly because we were a victim of vandalism and didn't feel safe in their complex anymore.Lesson to learn, research the company you are renting/purchasing from, and definately do not go with ARNEL. You will be suprised the series of crime this company has been doing. We hope that karma will get them all for the problems they have caused for so many residents they affected.

Recent Review:-Prado Mgmt illegally towed my vehicle and miscommunicated to the tow company about the policy they had with residents-Prado Mgmt violated their policies regarding the reporting of late rental payments and then lied about it-A member of Prado's Mgmt called my phone at 9:30 pm and left a threatening and violating voice mail-When I begged to be let out of my lease because my roommate was physically threatening and had threatened to kill me, the Manager, Bonnie, told me I "didn't know what a real problem was because her husband used to batter her"-When I finally called Bonnie's supervisor, Jean, because of Bonnie's lack of professionalism, she promised me she would handle the situation and never got back to me.-Both Bonnie and Jean have failed to return my numerous phone calls-When I tried to pay my account balance, they promised me they would contact me with a payment plan, and never did.-When I finally went in to pay, Bonnie refused my money and said she was going to send me to collections within the next 10 minutes so I wouldn't have chance to contact Jean before the damage was done-When I contacted Jean, I told her that I would be happy to pay off the account in four months, but simply could not do it in three, so she said they'd just send me to collections anyway-I have been trying repeatedly to work with all members of their staff and have only been treated rudely and by people who are completely incompetent and unknowledgeable-There were cockroaches everywhere-The maintainence guys were nice, but the apartments were generally so poorly cared for it was a mess-They are mean and malicious in the Front Office- documents EVERYTHING if you live there now, but you'll still get screwed in the end

Recent Review:First, we moved here from another state and with 2 of us the girl who was helpin us set up our lease decided she'd tell one of us one price and the other another and hope we didn't catch her.We didn't, and thus got ripped off. When we got here, no one was in the office as promised, and we had been driving for 3 days, it would have been nice to not wait in the parking lot for 2 hrs before someone finally showed up.The maintenance guys wouldn't give us a key, despite the moving truck we had.The apartment has its good points tho.Its fairly nice, despite the hairs painted into the walls. Its an older complex so there have been quite a few electrical problems, but they were addressed promptly. The management are not that great, but thats the same everywhere. There were a couple of good ones and a few bad ones, but management changes so quickly its rarely the same people each time i go into the office. The maintenance guys are extremely helpful and accomodating. This is one of the few apartment complexes anywhere in this area that allow "big" dogs(over 50 lbs) and more than one dog.Since dog friendly complexes are so few and far between here they can REALLY take advantage of you though. Orange county is NOT a place for animal lovers. They charge huge deposits PER pet PLUS a non refundable "pet rent" that i never saw anywhere else, which is another 10-50 per petper month.Despite it being known as a dog friendly complex, and with all the wonderful other dog owners here(a lot of great tenants) there are still TONS of people with kids.I wonder why they had to pick this place and ruin it for the dog people but i digress.A friend of mine who lived here for years left recently because she was accosted late one night in the parking lot, by drunk guys throwing things at her and yelling.I haven't heard of any other safety problems, but wouldn't be surprised.Basically, the apartments are OK if u have big dogs and really need to live here. Not as bad as some places,(parking is hellish if u need more than just one spot) but the shady dealings i have had with the management, and general attitude of socal = i'm gettin OUT of here.
