| Recent Review: | | The price of this apartment is attractive at a first glance, but there are many hidden costs. Monthly sew and gabage cost adds $60 to your bill. You should not count your deposit to come back. There is no reminder for you to pay rent, no automatic payment system and late fee will never be waived. If you accidently leave your gabage outside of your door, you will be charged $30 per bag. Although there are not enough workers to repair stuff in your units, there are people watching very carefully in your misbehaviorand try to take profit, or just pure pleasure, from punishing you - the residents.Talking about things to repair: Before we moved into this apartment, we never know how many things could go wrong in an apartment unit. The windows, the water falcet, the light bulb, the refregirator, ... We've been living here for 7 months. There is almost no single day that we do not have a working order put in the office. Last year, we sometimes wait for one month to get one thing fixed. But recently, they changed managing company (same residential managers, though), and started moving quickly, which means, they removed your bicycles and destoyed your bicycle locks one second after they put a notice on your door saying you should not put bikes near the stairs. (Are there any places you could safely lock your bikes outside? - Not to our knowledge.) However, our frigi has went out of order, they came to check and check again, till everyting inside it has wore out, to make sure it's not our problem, but just because the frigi has been too old. Any apologize? Never.We gave up and don't put any working order and eagerly wait for the day to move out. If you want to take the rest of our lease, be prepared to tolerate, admit everything is your fault, and then tolerate the blame to you from managers here. Believe, everything will be your fault. After all, it was you who did not want to pay a few bucks more to get a better place to live. (I guess this is also Habor Cove managers' phylosophy, because residents here are treated like refugees.) |

| Recent Review: | | I HAVE BEEN LIVING HERE SINCE JULY OF 2005 AND THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST APARTMENT EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD.IT STARTED WHEN WE RELOCATED TO CALIFORNIA FROM ARIZONA AND HAD TO RENT AN APARTMENT SIGHT UNSEEN. AFTER DRIVING FOR 2 DAYS WITH AN INFANT THE APARTMENT WAS NOT READY.THE MANAGER ONLY OFFERED TO COVER THE COST OF A MOVING VAN FOR ONE EXTRA DAY AND $50 FOR A HOTEL FOR THE NIGHT (WHICH BY THE WAY, HAVE YOU SEEN WHAT KIND OF HOTEL IS AVAILABLE IN CALIFORNIA FOR $50?).THEN 3 MONTHS LATER THEY PAINTED THE WHOLE COMPLEX FROM A BEAUTIFUL BLUE TO A DULL TERRA COTTA AND CREAM COLOR.ONE MONTH LATER THEY DECIDED TO TEAR UP THE CONCRETE ALL OVER THE COMPLEX TO DO "REPAIRS" BUT DID NOT INSTALL ANY RAMPS WHILE THEY WERE REPLACING THE CONCRETE.THE COMPLEX OFFERS A 48 HOUR GUARANTEE ON MAINTENANCE ISSUES BUT WOULD NEVER HONOR IT BECAUSE THEY COULD HAVE A MAINTENANCE PERSON OVER TO YOUR APARTMENT IN 48 HOURS BUT HE MIGHT NOT DO THE REPAIRS IN TIME.5 MONTHS AFTER MOVING IN I REALIZED THAT THE CABINETS IN MY KITCHEN WERE ABOUT TO FALL OFF THE WALL.MAINTENANCE INFORMED ME THAT THEY COULD NOT FIX IT PROPERLY SO THEY JIMMY RIGGED IT WITH A SCREW ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE CABINET THAT WENT INTO A PIECE OF WOOD CONNECTING IT TO THE OTHER CABINET OVER MY OVEN.CAN YOU SAY DANGEROUS!!!RECENTLY MY FRIDGE WENT OUT AND I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR MY LOSSES BECAUSE IT TOOK THEM 3 DAYS TO FIGURE OUT THAT IT IS A 25 YEAR OLD FRIDGE AND IT IS BROKEN.I PAY $1675 PER MONTH FOR RENT ALONE, NOT INCLUDING ANY UTILITIES.DOESN'T SEEM WORTH IT DOES IT??I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY TO ANYONE!IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A PLACE IN FOSTER CITY SHOP WISELY. |
